In Firefox developer preferences, I have the "Allow firefox developer edition and firefox to run at the same time" checkbox checked. Firefox Developer still refuses to allow Firefox to open. Will this actually work at some point? Does Firefox Developer Edition need to be restarted for this preference to take effect?

iMac, macOS High Sierra 10.13.2

I'm not sure about developer but running more than one version of Firefox needs a special command.

Example (all on one line); C:\PROGRA~1\MOZILL~1\firefox.exe -no-remote -new-instance -new-window -P Firefox_v_57
