Why did you stupidly get rid of the "Load Previous History" option?
With the latest version of FF, there is no longer the option to load the previous session's tabs. This is even dumber than the update that killed all of my add-ons. If you crash and it doesn't automatically try to recover the previous session, then you are SOL. This was a STUPID change. Are you TRYING to drive users to Chrome? Does anyone know how I can restore this function?

gil.gosseyn saidHappy112 saidSee what it says here : http://techdows.com/2017/09/firefox-57-restore-previous-session-item-in-menu.html "For Firefox users, who have automatic session restore turned on, Restore Previous Session menu item won’t appear in the application menu. "I read that and followed the directions. I STILL don't get the "RPS" option. I haven't seen it after a crash yet, but nothing has changed as far as I can see.
Are you sure you're looking the right place? I still have it and used it to start this session a few minutes ago.
Please see my screenshot attached.
Yes. I normally don't use the Menu Bar, but even with it, there is NO "RPS" option.
This will probably have nothing to do with this SciFi story, but :
Your system details show that you need to update your Adobe Flash Player - you're running an older version, which can cause problems. Would you please uninstall your current version and install the latest version, which is 28.0.0.161
Uninstaller : https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html

Note : some 'extras' may be offered in the download.
I've reached the point where now I can only suggest to Refresh Firefox, and see if that will bring the RPS back where it belongs :

If you close Firefox with some tbs pinned, do you still see them at the next start or are they gone?
Does Firefox create sessionstore.jsonlz4 in the Firefox profile folder when you close Firefox?
You can check for problems with the sessionstore.jsonlz4 file in the Firefox profile folder that stores session data.
- delete sessionstore.jsonlz4 and sessionstore.js
- rename the sessionstore-backups folder to sessionstore-backups.old
When sessionstore.jsonlz4 is deleted you lose pinned tabs and open tabs and you will have to recreate them, so if necessary make a note or bookmark them.
You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.

Thank you. I will check that out. When I close FF with tabs open, it usually restarts with them present. My issue is sometimes when it crashes, it restarts without my tabs, and I don't have the "Restore Previous Session" option anymore, since FF v57. In other words, it works MOST of the time, but I don't have the RPS safety net when it DOESN'T work.
