My account cbmusic comcast net suddenly stopped allowing me to download new messages. It was working fine earlier and my several other accounts seem fine. Further, I am able to SEND emails from this account. When I try to click "Get Messages" the progress bar displays the blue and white stripe activity mode and a temporary message "Downloading 1 of 2 messages" appears as text, but it all times out. I have sent myself several new messages, but it does not update to "Downloading 1 of 4 messages" or similar. I think there may be a message that is somehow stuck, but I don't know how to reject it or clean it out of the cue. I tried messing around with "filters," but this is just more confusing. I know that my account with Comcast is in good standing and I can verify that because I can send messages from this account. My current version of Thunderbird is 52.6.0 and I am running Mac OS X, v. 10.9.5.

If a message is stuck you go you your providers webmail site and log into your account there. Either delete the problem message or move it out of the inbox.
