Hi, In Firefox there are little X's also. If in Options under Tabs you can turn on Tab Preview so when you mouse over the Tabs in the Task Bar you get a Preview. You can also close them from there. Firefox hides the close X on not active tabs if there are many tabs open. That is to prevent closing a tab accidentally if you would click the tab to select it. If you have a mouse with a clickable scroll wheel then you can close a tab with a middle-click.
