How to edit url in newtab tile
This is the current best solution: 1. Type about:config in firefox url and click enter. 2. An alert will be shown on click on "I'll be careful, I promise!" button. 3. Type browser.newtabpage.pinned in textbox and click enter. 4. Right click and select Modify option to edit the url address. I want to change this url address [{"url":"http://localhost:8080/Admin/login","title":null},] After change the url address in firefox is [{"url":"http://localhost:8080/Admin","title":"Admin"},]
But, it doesn't work. Why is it so hard to change the URL? Anyway, please let me know how to do this.

If you use an extension (New Tab Tools) to create a new tab page then you will have to contact its developer for support.
The regular new tab page should work like I posted above.

If you hover the Top Sites line on the about:newtab page then you will notice an Edit button appearing at the right end of this line. There is an Edit (pencil) button on each tile in the window that opens to edit this tile. There is an Add button that allows to add a website and enter title and URL.
My NewTab page has only tiles on it. It looks nothing at all like the about:newtab page. I found that the only way to fix a URL is to delete the tile and create a completely new tile but loading the URL and left-clicking the NewTabTools icon, and selecting 'Pin to NewTab page'. If your page is full, the new tile will not appear so you have to change the page matrix to allow more tiles, move the tile to where you want it and then change the matrix back to the original size. Way too complex for what should be really simple to do. I mean, why not allow directly changing the URL in the 'Edit Tile' mode?
