Have Android phone, Huawei, had the dreaded spy system on it (Facebook) and the other one, Google.

So, was told to install Firefox, which prevents 'Farcebook' from spyiing, did that, Firefox is there among other icons on phone's home page, tap it, I get Firefox opened all good.

But, when I tried to make it my default search engine, phone brought up list of search engines, it was not listed.

When I tried to add Firefox to list, (told to press for long time on its search window, then hit the magnifying glass symbol) that does not work! HEEELLLPPP!

JUST REALIZED....I installed normal Firefox, did not install Firefox for Android... is that the problem? Should I uninstall Firefox, then install the Android version? (Pugman9)

Firefox in this case is a web browser. Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo for example are Search Engines.
