My problem is what's in the title. I've tried it with my antivirus turned off, and I've tried clearing my cache and history and restarting ff. currently running version 59.0.2 64-bit. Picture for an example.

Try this; Open the add-ons web page. Place your mouse over the 'Add To Firefox' button, right-click and select Save Link As

If you need more help, post your question in the add-ons forum; https://discourse.mozilla-community.org/c/add-ons

The add-on Facebook Video Dowload uses a third party site and has no support site or any way to contact the developer(s).

Maybe you could give this one a try instead :

As for 'Honey' - maybe give it another try, and if it still won't work, you could try their Support Email (under 'More information') :
