The instructions for adding folders to bookmarks is not correct. I can't find the "Show all Bookmarks" at the bottom of the list. Where is that item?
In the old Outlook Express, I could set up folders to sort bookmarks. The instructions in support do not appear to be correct. How do I add folders to the Bookmarks and then move bookmarks into the folders so that I can more easily find the one I am looking for? The bookmarks are not even sorted alphabetically, which would be helpful if folders cannot be set up. Again, in the old Outlook Express, I could move bookmarks in the list so that I could alphabetize them, even within folders. Can someone please let me know how to do this in Thunderbird?

We had a communications issue here I think. I have no idea what a bookmark has to do with email. That is something you do in a web browser.
Are you talking about tags?

I am sorry for my error. I should have been referring to Firefox and not Thunderbird. Please answer in reference to Firefox.

I requested a moderator move this to the Firefox forum.
I am still confused. Outlook express was a mail and news application, bot a browser, and while it has been about a decade since I used it I have no recollection of it using the term bookmark for anything.
What I see with Firefox bookmarks is that they are best viewed using the bookmarks pane which can be turned on on the right of the screen. This article describes the features available pretty well. Have you read it? https://support.mozilla.org/kb/bookmarks-firefox
