I am trying to install firefox 61 on my redhat 6.3 os. i have tried many of the solutions on the google but i am unable to do that. i have unzipped the tar placed that in /opt. And when try to launch it, I get following error

XPCOMGlueLoad error for file /opt/firefox/libmozgtk.so: libgtk-3.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Couldn't load XPCOM.

Can you please help me for solving this issue? Firefox 61 has support for redhat 6.3 or not?

Redhat 6.3 is rather old now as it came out back in June 2012.

Firefox for Linux since 46.0 (released on April 26, 2016) has required GTK 3.4 (three.four) at minimum to run though most pretty recent distros have at least GTK 3.16 or even 3.2x now days.

Also make sure you are using the 64-bit version if using 64-bit Linux. www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/
