I have a web viewer on the intranet in my office- in the past FF let me view it no problem. Now it asks me for "Authentication Required" There is no need for this box as I am authorized. I have completely removed FF- reinstalled and put a exception in for this address- But will it load the site as in the past- nothing has changed on my machine. Please help

So you are using a proxy to view stuff from your intranet. Seems a little strange.

You can check the connection settings.

  • Options --> General page bottom --> Network Proxy

If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then try to select "No Proxy" if "Use the system proxy settings" or one of the others do not work properly. See "Firefox connection settings":

PK- thanks for the reply- Tried your suggestions but I could not get it to work.

No- I don't use proxy here- what more strange is that this is a recent problem- I have been using FF for over a year here with no problems.

I look forward to hearing from you. PB
