why, when opening multiple tabs at once, from bookmarks, firefox duplicates some and omits others

Looking for a house on Reaitor.com and open multiple saved bookmarks, (by click shift/click - 9 at a time) into multiple tabs and some bookmarks are duplicated and others are omitted. Just tested these and problem is there.

I have 5 instances of the 1st bookmark, 3 instances of the 7th, and one of the 2nd bookmark. unsure if Mozilla problem or realtor problem, think Mozilla's problem as bookmarks look good and when opened one at a time, they open correctly. Tried to upload screenshot (758kb), but the wheel just keeps spinning. So that don't work either.

UPDATE: Doing some testing and it doesn't do it all the time. Tested bookmarks from Zillow, and all opened correctly. Seems to only be a problem with realtor bookmarks. Using "open all in tabs"

Hi, since they are all for separate people none are duplicates so nothing to do that way. or are they duplicates in the Bookmarks  ? I would guess a glitch. You need to decide if you want to fix it or not.

No duplicates in bookmarks. When opened separately in new tab works normal. When grouping many together, like the list I posted, and clicking on "open all in tabs", I'll get 5 tabs with the same house, and 3 tabs with another house, and 1more house. Like it's opening the correct number of tabs, but filling them in wrong. Not sure if it's a set pattern or random.

Note that you can select multiple bookmarks using Shift and/or Ctrl in the usual way and use the right-click context menu (Open All in Tabs).

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Appearance
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window
