Hi, I have bought a new pc running windows 10 and want to use Tbird for emails. On my old laptop I used windows live mail and I want to bring over my old emails. I understand I need to export my old emails in .eml format and then Tbird can import them. In windows live mail I can export to Microsoft Exchange or MS windows live mail however I don't which one will create files with the .eml extension? Which choice should I make? Thanks, Thunderstone

The messages should already be in eml format in subfolders of the Store Folder, e.g. C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail.

But if you use the Export wizard instead, select MS Windows Live Mail format, which is eml files.
