I followed the instructions to transfer my Favorites folder from ie. It only transferred the open (Not in a folder) addresses. I have folders for many categories, example being > auto; home garden; computers ect,,,,. Each of these folders contain many more 'bookmarks'

These folders did not transfer over. How do you get ALL the Folders / links to transfer over???

Open IE and save your current favorites to an HTML file. If there are things you do not want transferred, just remove them using a file editor.

After, import the HTML file to Firefox.
