Is there a way to easily import EVERYTHING from emClient to Thunderbird? Emails, folder structures, accounts & passwords... everything!

I've googled the hell out of this. Seems that everything that 'might' work requires me to pay. However, I recall trying that in the past and nothing worked right... so I'm obviously hesitant to buy anything more. I originally moved to EmClient because Thunderbird was just randomly losing emails. I can't have that, so I made the move. Of course EMC made it so damn easy to make the move, but damn near impossible to migrate to anything else. Figured with Windows 10 laptop I have now, I'd give T-Bird another shot... I really loved it before. EMC works, but it's not as useful to me as TBird was. If I cannot migrate everything, then T-Bird just won't be an option.

According to the emClient site, mail can be exported to eml files, contacts to vCards, and calendars to ics files. All of these can be imported to TB, although some may require TB add-ons. There's no mention of account settings, but that should be the easiest to add to TB.

To import eml files, see this article, which also explains how to import multiple vCards. Use TB 60, as it is compatible with the suggested add-ons.

Thanks for replying.

Those 3rd party apps generally have to be paid for... otherwise typically limited to just 25 emails for 'testing'. I don't wish to add accounts to TBird manually, then do a test of importing... in the meantime I'd also be received emails. THEN I'd have emails on EmClient And Thunderbird. Just envision a headache. It's a real PITA that EmC makes it so easy to import EVERYTHING to them, but not nearly so readily accomplished on the exporting side.

None of the methods suggested in my reply require any payment or have any limitations. As for conflicts between TB and emClient, there won't be any if your accounts are IMAP (mail synced with the mail server), but if they're POP, you can set both programs to leave mail on server after download, or just run TB in offline mode while you import from emC.

I'm probably just dense. Was looking for an all-in-one type solution. It was so easy to migrate to EMClient. Not so much to other way. I think that in the past I've tried a bit as you've suggested... but I lost all folder structures and such. I've THOUSANDS of folders. Based on my work, I need this many... folders upon folders and sub-folders and more sub-folders. I cannot simply just move the emails and then recreate appropriate folders... it'd take me a year or more. LOL

Note, all this 'structure' is within EMClient.... not on the gmail site or any other site that I use for email. EMC downloads all mail and I then organize as needed there. So, I can't just setup T-Bird and then d/l from current email site... there's NOTHING kept on those site. Hence why I was looking for an all-in-one type of migration system.

There is no importer from emclient. It is that simple. Either migrate the parts, or stay with emclient.

I can't migrate 'parts'. It's all or nothing. Guess I'll have to still with an outfit I don't particularly like. I'm sure that eventually there will be a solution.

Then stay with emclient. I used it for a while. I found it vaguely unpleasant to use.
