I work at an organization and one of our workers has intermittent crashing with Firefox. He has tried restarting in safe mode and still experiences the crashes. He is currently using Chrome, but would like to go back to Firefox. I was wondering where I could send his crash codes too so we can further assist

Hello,

You may have seen a post or received a notification regarding support for Firefox or Thunderbird with a link to another site or a phone number being posted. This is a scam and is not a method to receive support from Mozilla. Mozilla does not have telephone or email support. Please do not click on the link and do not interact by calling any phone numbers or email addresses listed. I apologize for any inconvenience caused. You are currently posting on the official Mozilla website and will receive assistance here.

If they have submitted crash reports then please post the IDs of one or more recent crash reports that start with "bp-".

  • bp-xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx

You can find the report ID of recent crash reports on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page.

  • click the "All Crash Reports" button on this page to open the about:crashes page and see all crash reports.

Alternatively you can open about:crashes via the location/address bar.

Looks like a conflict with McAfee.

Looks like a conflict with McAfee.

How are you able to tell that?

more options
  1. Crash signature is quite random.
  2. In the Modules tab the library EpMPApi.dll is red, so this library crashes Firefox.

Maybe also check for corrupted fonts and try a different default font.

If an entry in modules is marked red then this merely means that the Socorro server doesn't have symbols (tooltip of icon on the far left: missing symbol) for this module to be able to cross reference an address with a line in the source code.
Not all security software is willing to share its symbols table with Mozilla.
