New install of Tbird, folders didn't pull over from SaskTel server

I am on Windows 10, have been using Windows mail, but decided to move to Thunderbird at last, because of missing Windows Mail features. I installed Tbird 78 last night, and configured two email accounts (both IMAP). One is AOL/AIM, the other is SaskTel.net (using ZenDesk). All of the folders came over from AOL (using AIM servers), none from SaskTel. I have both accounts set up identically in terms of server settings. Under the sync and storage settings, I am not given the option to pull in the folders for offline use for the SaskTel email, but I am given the option for the AIM one (Items for Offline Use); SaskTel does not support client software like Tbird.

All comments in this forum in relation to missing folders talk about restoring from backup after an upgrade, but I obviously don't have them backed up - they've not been there since the install. I suppose I could have imported from Windows Mail, but I should be able to do a clean pull from the server, right? And if I imported, would the missing folders continue to be active in real time?

Bottom line: how do I get the folders to show up and populate in the SaskTel.net email?

If you right-click the sasktel account in the Folder Pane, Subscribe..., Refresh, can the folders be checked (subscribed)?
