Exporting address folders

Hi, Is there an easy way to export email addresses in their separate folders? With over 400 contacts I have separated them into folders, not as lists. I back-up my contacts once a month but can only do so as a single list. To get round this problem I copy each folder and export it one at a time which is rather laborious.

Is there a way to export all the folders in a single export as separated folders, perhaps using an addon?

I have learnt that folders cannot be nested which is a shame, it saves a lot of burrowing time.

If anyone knows of a way to simplify these tasks please let me know. Regards.

Chosen solution

It's been a steep learning curve just having started with Thunderbird. My question is solved, just highlight the contact list folder/s (on the left hand side), click tools tab and click export, choose where to save and save. The same happens with Mailing lists. Simple only when you know the way.
