Page Actions Drop-down Menu

more options

I have two defined log-in users on my custom-built Windows 7 Pro desktop. On the account I use, the last entry in the Page Actions menu the "Take a Screenshot" option lo longer appears at the bottom of the menu. However, on the other account the "Take a Screenshot" option does appear? I can find nothing in the Firefox 83.0 "Options" or "Customize" menu that can affect the Page Actions menu in any way, nor can I see any apparent difference in any other option in effect between the two user accounts' settings? Any ideas on how I can get my "Take a Screenshot option back, short of uninstalling Firefox from the computer and re-installing, wiping out both users' bookmarks, add-ons, etc.? Thanks.

Chosen solution

Yes, that was exactly the fix. My thanks to jscher2000 for this support. Sorry I could not find the similar question and answer in the forum. This issue is closed now in my opinion, but because this is the 2nd occurrence I would suggest a posted paper on the subject. This is truly excellent and fast support.

**Update for Firefox 88**

The button has moved. Please see the article Take screenshots in Firefox for steps to add it to your toolbar.

If the button is missing from the Customize panel, and especially if Take Screenshot is missing from the right-click context menu, see the original solution below.

Please check this:

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button accepting the risk.

(2) In the search box in the page, type or paste screenshots and pause while the list is filtered

(3) If the extensions.screenshots.disabled preference is bolded and has a value of true, double-click it to restore the default value of false

Was that the issue?

Thank you for posting it. It is odd for two people to report the same unexpected setting change in the same week. ??
