My emails default to a signature that never matches the body of the email's font or size. How do I sync them so that the sig does not look like it has been auto added.

Generally the issue is the signature is not created in Thunderbird, so contains loads of font and layout information of it's own as a HTML page. WE generally suggest making signatures in the Thunderbird composer. See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/signatures
