Starting yesterday 4/10/22 I'm having a weird issue. Every time I open Firefox all of my personalization and bookmarks are gone. It shows that I'm signed in, but when I go into the Settings and go to the Sync section the page will refresh and suddenly show I'm not signed in. I will then attempt to sign back in, but after entering my password I just get stuck on the page with the circle spinning and a small banner saying "working." Once this happens, the only solution I've found is to open the Troubleshooter and use the Refresh option. This brings everything back, though I have to go through MFA hassle to get logged back in to my regular website. The problem is that every time I close Firefox, when I reopen it it's once again broken and I have to go through a Refresh again in order to be able to sign back in to sync.

Hello, your 'logged-in' status is stored in special cookies. If those cookies are removed, you are logged out. Type about:preferences#privacy<enter> in the address bar. The button next to History, select Use Custom Settings. At the bottom of the page, turn on Clear History When Firefox Closes. At the far right, press the Settings button. Turn on ONLY Cache and Form And Search History leaving the others off.

This was never a problem until yesterday, and I do not have the option selected to delete cookies when Firefox closes. since that option is not selected, Firefox should not be deleting any cookies. And it does not appear that it's removing all cookies, because when I restart Firefox my Gmail is still working and I'm still signed in to my Google account. Also, the fact that when I try to sign back in to Firefox the attempt stalls unless I do a refresh first implies that there is a technical issue, and not that it's just a cookie being deleted. Otherwise I'd be able to sign back in to my Firefox account without having to do a Refresh first.

As an update, I tried the suggestion from jeyson1099 above, it did not help. I tried reinstalling Firefox, no help. I tried deleting every file and folder related to Firefox I could find and doing a clean install. Still no luck. I log in, it's fine. I close the browser, then relaunch Firefox, suddenly I'm logged out and trying to sign back in stalls until I Refresh Firefox. Everything was fine until Sunday 4/10, and even though I changed absolutely nothing in my Firefox settings I'm suddenly having this issue.

So is there no actual Support out there for FF? Nobody on staff or anything that can give more help, or submit a bug report or something? This is still happening, and the one answer I've gotten didn't help unfortunately.

You can create a new profile as a quick test to see if your current profile is causing the problem.

See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.

Is the Firefox Password Manager working properly as that is where the login credentials are saved ?

Firefox uses the Password Manager to store the credentials of the Firefox Sync account (chrome://FirefoxAccounts) to make it possible to connect to Sync each time you start Firefox without the need to enter email and password. This chrome://FirefoxAccounts entry is hidden from about:logins and is only visible if you check logins.json. If you use the Primary Password then you need to enter this PP every time you start Firefox. If you are asked to login again to Sync then this means that the Sync credential data isn't stored properly in the Password Manager. Once you are logged in to Sync then the signedInUser.json file in the profile folder is used to connect to Sync during the current session. You can check if you have a logins.json.corrupt file in the profile folder.
