How do I download an excel spreadsheet without having to save it? Is this a "new feature" or a bug. I was able to do it previously but now it makes me save all excel spreadsheets before I can open them.

Previously when you opened a file in an external application they were saved to the OS temp folder, but currently all files are saved to the default download folder as set in "Settings -> General -> Downloads".
