I really like having access to my passwords, but would REALLY like to be able to change how they're identified. A number of sites use names that don't really relate to their web site, making it hard to find them. ... thoughts ??

Firefox has basic password manager what your asking is a 3rd party software to do more custom settings. This would something like Keepass a 3rd party local password manager that can run from a USB drive but also can be set for a Master Password to access and without it no one can access it. There's other but this one is more secure since it local installed or USB drive while using Master Password so without it you can't gain access to the database.
