Hello, my dreamhost client I am having a problem connecting to his mail account through Thunderbird.

The error he is getting is as follows:

Error: Server sub5.mail.dreamhost.com has disconnected. Server may have gone down or it may be a network problem.

I tried to find a solution for this on the forum, but could not. I appreciate your help.

You didn't mention where you had confirmed with Dreamhost on whether there was a problem as described.
