Email not working
My email has stopped working on Thunderbird. I get this message "Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because connecting to Outgoing server (SMTP) mail.rachelraphael.com failed. The server may be unavailable or is refusing SMTP connections. Please verify that your Outgoing server (SMTP) settings are correct and try again." But I have checked settings and they are correct.

Does the company that hosts your domain (tucows/enom?) not provide a webmail portal to access your account until the other issues are resolved?

Could anyone help me today as it is my work email address and need to read client emails! Thank you.
I have a similar issue. The notices says something to the effect of: the message was sent, but unable to save a copy to sent folders.
Yes, that is a slightly different issue, which I have also experienced. This is not letting me download any new messages or send any messages at all. With no-one to contact re: solving this, it is increasingly becoming a huge problem for me!

Unlike Rachael, I will state it clearly. It is not a slightly different issue. It is completely different and entirely unrelated.

I DNS check would indicate that the domain you mention has no MX record. So email exchange should not work. https://intodns.com/rachelraphael.com
I tried an SSL check on the domain rachelraphael.com on the standard outgoing encrypted port of 587. But the server would no accept a connection on that port. I guess encrypted mail is not available
I tried again on Port 465, for unencrypted mail, but again connection was refused. https://www.immuniweb.com/ssl/mail.rachelraphael.com/8op5UQ27/
Based on the limited results, I am thinking that there may well be some background DNS issues at work here.
Thank you so much for the thorough check. What is the best next steps for me to take to resolve it? I am rubbish at tech and so not sure who to ask for help and what to ask. This is my work email, so I am getting slightly anxious that I cannot access client emails. Thanks again.
It is strange that it just stopped working, with no obvious reason.
I have run a diagnostic tool and nothing came up. I have switched off firewall, made no difference. I am also not able to link the account to icloud as it doesn't recognise the email and password. Not sure what else to do. But need an urgent solution. My business depends on me getting my emails. Any help, much appreciated.

Thanks - I will ask them. But who do I get to fix the problem for me when there is no customer service support provided by Mozilla not anyone who can seemingly fix the problem? Do I migrate the whole thing over to another provider? I can't delete the account as it's my business email.
Also, what do other people do when they require urgent support from Mozilla to fix technical issues?
It's not mozilla's issue. I cannot connect to either mail.rachelraphael.com using telnet, and evidently www.rachelraphael.com doesn't exist? You either didn't pay your bill or your server company has deserted you. You need to contact the people who host your domain, (godaddy or whomever)
This forum is the only source of support provided by Mozilla/TB, but you're free to hire an IT consultant who is knowledgeable about email. But right now you haven't provided much in the way of details regarding your settings in TB, error messages, or other apps that might be affecting TB. As already mentioned, most people use webmail when mail clients aren't working.
You can see that many users do get effective support here, but whether it's in response to 'urgent' issues or not is a subjective opinion.

Even Mozilla does not provide one on one support for their Firefox web browsers (for desktop and mobile versions for iOS and Android) as it would be too costly to do so for free to download and use products. They do have people helping do support for the subscription products like Mozilla VPN and Firefox Relay though.
The Thunderbird community has less resources compared to Mozilla to even consider doing some form of one on one support for a free to download and use product.
Mozilla has been generous in providing an official place for Thunderbird users to get support (since 2014?) as it used to be done on Getsatisfaction forums. It was only in January 2020 that Thunderbird became more more of a Mozilla product again by operating from a subsidiary of the Mozilla Foundation, MZLA Technologies Corporation.

I get my emails on the Xfinity site, but nothing on Thunderbird except constant error messages regarding passwords or outgoing SMTP errors. I've done nothing to change the settings. Will this problem heal itself or must I switch to another email provider? And if so, which one? I would want to migrate all my folders etc. to the new provider.
I am not receiving emails on my iPhone either.
