Filesystem notification initialization error FAM/Gamin library

Starting in the last month or so, when I login to my email account using Thunderbird I get a Filesystem notification initialization error asking me to check for configuration errors in the FAM/Gamin library. (Side note the error only stays as long as my mouse is hovering over it then it vanishes so I can't get a screenshot or copy and paste the text.) I am still able to send messages, receive new messages, and access saved messages in my local folders, so I am not sure what this error means.

I just got off the phone with my email service provider who confirmed that they are not seeing any issues on the server end, so It appears to be something on the Thunderbird client side. I tried clearing the startup cache and that did not resolve the issue.

Using version 115.15.0 (64-bit) on PureOS which is a variant of Debian. PureOS is designed for extra security so there is a delay between the release of new versions and the time that purism.com releases the update to PureOS. It may be I just have to wait for Purism to release version 128...

Thanks for any suggestions.

Thanks for the suggestion Matt. I tried installing gamin as suggested but I did not get a warning that libfam0 would be uninstalled and I am still getting the warning when I log in on Thunderbird. My search continues...
