Is there a way to make child folders inherit their retention policy from the parent folder?

I would like to be able to set a retention policy on top (parent) folder and have all the folders below it inherit that policy. Is this doable with Thunderbird? It would also be helpful to be able to turn off inheritance in a child folder if desired.

Thank you Steven Wheeler

Not that I know of.

Please suggest at https://connect.mozilla.org/t5/ideas/idb-p/ideas/label-name/thunderbird where it can be seen with other ideas.

Thanks
