oauth to gmail fails
I have 3 computers all running the latest version of Thunderbird. All are setup to access gmail via imap with Oauth type authentication. I was away and didn't use one of the computers for a month. On this computer, when I try to download messages, I get a Google pop-up asking me to allow Thunderbird access. I click on ALLOW but then get a message on Thunderbird "authentication failure on incoming server imap:gmail.com" I have tried copying the App/roaming/thunderbird "settings" folder from a working computer to this one but that didn't do anything. I have tried setting up a different existing gmail address in File/New but this one had the same issue. When setting this up, I tried leaving the password field blank and also tried by putting in the correct password to that gmail address. I am out of ideas and would sure appreciate some help!!!

Assuming the colon instead of a dot in the incoming server name that you posted is a typo you made when posting here, not in the account settings, check the following article to make sure you're doing things correctly, in particular that you have cookies and JavaScript enabled in Thunderbird as described there:

HI, Yes the colon in my post was a typo. Thank you for the article you referenced. For both incoming and outgoing server, Oauth was selected, cookies were enabled/allowed and the Java Script was enabled/TRUE when I went in and checked them. Finally I checked for any stored passwords and none showed up; nothing there in the format 'oauth://accounts.google.com (https://mail.google.com/ …)'
Any other thoughts or things I should try? My fall back is to copy my entire thunderbird profile from one of the working computers and then overwrite all this info onto the one that isn't working. 34 gigs of files which seems like hitting a fly with a sledge hammer.
