when a new update is offered my laptop tries to load the update it then reaches a point where it tries to find compatibility with HP websmart It then hands and if I try to cancel the update firefox then hangs with the loading message and the rotating dots. I have removes all the HP printer files I can find and no longer use a HP printer but the problem persists. Using system restore rights the problem but then I don't have the update. Help please

Select "Don't Check" for the "compatibility check" that appears after the restart to install the updates. Firefox won't look beyond the AMO website when looking for the compatibility information for addons, and that HP Websmart addon isn't hosted at AMO.
