If I try to print something, it says "preparing" and never prints. It didn't do this before? What is wrong?

Until lately, I could click on any e-mail or download on Firefox, and it would print instantly. Now it says "preparing" but never gets beyond that. Then I have to close the program. If I go to internet explorer and click to print, it prints okay. What can I do to fix this?
