The session restore on firefox used to be working fine, but when i opened it today, none of my old tabs came up. I've tried changing the settings around and restarting it multiple times, but nothing has made it work. also, the "clear recent history" box is not checked

before closing firefox, did you click on 'save and quit' or 'quit without saving'.

Session restore works more reliable if you choose Tools > Options > General > Startup: "When Firefox Starts": "Show my windows and tabs from last time" instead of relying on the Save & Quit dialog.

You did make sure that you do not clear the Browsing History if you close Firefox (Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox)?

This can be a problem with the file sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Profile Folder

Delete sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Profile Folder
If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.

The history is not being cleared. I looked for the session backup files, but there are only *.rdf files, *.js or *.bak. Also, I updated the plugin w/the link you posted, but that didnt fix the problem either. Any other ideas?
