I had to turn firefox off to get Dr forms to fill out. I turned it off now I can't get it to turn back on, in the process it turned off my Kaspersky Anti-virus program.

For whatever reason, as often or not, my FireFox won't come back up if I just close out the program using the "close" X in the upper right hand corner. I either have to re-boot or hit crtl > alt > Delete and close out firefox in task manager. It's strange. . . Before I figured out the TM fix I had gone back to IE, but the BS w/IE only took a little time to bring me back to FF. I wish that they would do something about it

Are you are using a different computer to write these messages. The message would appear to have been written from a Windows Vista Computer with firefox installed. [as shown, to the right, under System Details]

I am not sure what you mean by turned off, possibly all that you have done is allowed Internet Explorer to be the default browser.

Look for firefox in your programs list from the start menu, or from the start menu use the run option and type in firefox.exe then press the return key on the keyboard.

It will probably be wise to turn your security software back on, again a program item should be available for that, or maybe an icon on your desktop or on the bar at the bottom of the screen.

You may find it easier to discuss your problem if you start a new thread. I did have a similar problem myself on another machine that I never really got to the bottom of.
