What is the funky font appearing on some web pages AND when I type into text field on some websites?

After updating to Firefox 6.0 yesterday, on 2 web pages where I entered type into a text field, the font is funky and hard to read, not a standard font like before update. The same font is also appearing on other webpages, i.e. listings on craigslist, and on parts of some of your pages. The same sites work fine in Safari.. I did not change anything on my desktop, no preferences, no new fonts, nothing except update Firefox.
