Is firefox 8 compatable with windows 7 64 bit?
I am upgrading my computer and it will have windows 7 64 bit installed. Can I use Firefox 8 or do I have to use a 64 bit version?
Chosen solution
Is there a single main topic/section of this site for people who want to use 64bit Firefox on 64bit OSs?
For example, A client of mine is interested in deploying a 64bit Firefox on Windows 7 64bit OS, like I can deploy a 64bit IE 9 browser.
Is there a production release of a stable 64bit Firefox for 64bit OSs that is easily downloaded?
I have been through Shiretoko (64bit) and its predecessor (Namoroka), and I see that there is work happening on Aurora.
Unfortunately, I have found no stable production 64bit browser that takes full advantage of the 64bit processors and Windows 7 operating system.
Am I looking in the wrong place?

Firefox doesnot have any specific version for 64bit but normal installer works fine on both 32bit and 64bit, you can download it from here
Thank you very much for your reply!
As you can see, <a href="http://www.favbrowser.com/firefox-32-bit-x86-vs-firefox-64-bit-x64/">this page</a>64 bit builds indeed has an advantage against 32 bit builds.
In case you would like to download older Firefox 3.1 or 3.0 64 bit releases, check <a href="http://wiki.mozilla-x86-64.com/Download">this page</a>
