Yesterday I had to re-do my OS (Vista). I downloaded Firefox and it worked fine until a couple of hours ago. Now I can open only one window - when I click on the icon it shows busy for about 3 seconds, then nothing. I re-loaded Firefox and it opened one winder to show the Getting started screen, but still can't open any more windows.

Chosen solution

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
