The Maximize/Minimize and close buttons are gone from firefox 8.0 I restarted firefox, disabled the themes and went to default, deleted cookies stc, nothing happens. sometimes they are there but 90% of the time they are gone and that for several weeks now. I have a windows 7 PC. Thanks for any help.

Hey Nameda,

Have you tried hitting f11 to see if you are just in fullscreen mode? There is also a lot of useful information in this thread:

Hopefully this helps!

Can you attach a screenshot?

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed the maximum file size (1 MB).

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

I have the same problem. It goes full screen. I can never see my task bar and I cant see my minimize button, which means I have to always press crtl alt delete...except for in the picture, of course...
