Without warning, my +tab icon on my browser stopped working and I tried all kinds of troubleshooting to regain it back. It is very distraughtful without that tab and I find the new way to be very time consuming especially when having to move the cursor farther than what you want. All of the troubleshooting I tried from the Firefox suggestions did not work, I am only able to go to file and click on the "new window" to get anything as close to having a new tab, which I still find cumbersome and time consuming. (The "new tab" on file does not even work!??)

That issue can be caused by the Ask.com toolbar (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions)

Your system details show that toolbar in the user agent as AskTbDIC3V5/3.9.1.14132

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

I am SO Happy!! Thank you for giving me some direction, I now have my tabs back the way I prefer them. It was an issue with a "Dictionary" toolbar that was invading my computer all on its own, as soon as I uninstalled it my tabs came back?!
