I am using Mac OS 10.4.11. I keep getting Firefox upgrade offers, and then the notices that the new upgrades are not compatible with OS 10.4.11. is my security compromised without being able to use the "latest" Firefox upgrades?

The latest version of Firefox that will run on your OS is FF 3. You can find the latest version of the 3.x series here:

http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
