Firefox crashes sometimes when I close it.

Firefox crashes sometimes when I close it.

Chosen solution

Awesome its been over two weeks and it hasn't crashed so it's definitely fixed so all I had to do was update one of my plugins (Adobe Reader) and make some configuration changes to my Sandboxie (allowing it to save history and cookies outside the sandbox) then disabling them from within Firefox so if anyone else is having this issue try updating your plugins and if you have Sandboxie try enabling the history&cookies as well.

Are you using Clear Recent History to clear items when you close Firefox?

Yes it is.

Start Firefox in -> Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if your add-ons/extension are causing the problem.

Check and tell if its working.

Well I could re enable my plugins there not going to effect it much right? One other note I modified my FF to store 60 persona's and currently I have 55 I made this mod around November/December 2011.

I'll disable the extensions and come back in to this post in a few days because the thing is that it doesn't crash every time I close it although there does seem to be a pattern to it about every 5-7 days it crashes when I close out of FF.

The crash report seems to be related to shutting down NSS (security device) that handles secure connections and other cryptographic services.

You can try to create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

See "Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

Could a DNS redirect cause this to happen?

New crash ID bp-1a272e53-ce3d-4b94-8ac7-776172120515 so whats going on now I disabled all my extensions and I don't exactly understand how to create a new profile couldn't I just do a complete reinstall AKA remove all settings and personal data? And then using Mozbackup restore my passwords and bookmarks?

You can also check for problems with plugins.
