Firefox tells me to install Flash version > V11 and after I do, it repeats the message.
I successfully install Flash. It works with the Internet Explorer. Firefox does not seem to know it has been installed. I installed it multiple times and still get a message from Firefox to install Flash.

Do you see the Flash plugin in Tools > Add-ons > Plugins ?
You can find the latest Flash player for Firefox on this page.

hello, there are different flash versions for firefox and ie - make sure you get the one for "other browsers" at http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/
I went to the website and selected Windows 7 and Other Versions. I Installed and had no installation errors. I still get the message that I need to install Flash V10.1 or higher.
is the plugin (shockwave flash) showing up in firefox > addons > plugins & set to active?
Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

I started firefox in safe mode and then brought up cnn.com and tried to look at a video. I got the same message asking me to install Flash. How do I determine what is causing this?
