Problem with a Hebrew font (David)
After upgrading to Firefox 13.0, some letters with fonetics written in the David font were replaced by a simple rectangle. Other fonts work just fine.

Chosen solution
That is a bug in Firefox 13 that shows up with certain fonts.
You can set the gfx.font_rendering.harfbuzz.scripts pref to 3 (or 1) on the about:config page.
