I need plug-ins for Firefox v.7 (ad and flash blockers). It can't be upgraded because my Linux netbook has 500MB max.

running Ecafe slim HD with Ubuntu Linux 10.04 as standardized OS. They have released Firefox 7 as the official browser (probably because of lower RAM requirements). Ecafe has one 500MB DIM (which is probably why it runs Linux). Ad and flash blocker plug-ins aren't available for this version. How can we get them for this version of Firefox?

Chosen solution

The current version of Flashblock works with Firefox 7. https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/flashblock/

Adblock Plus 2.0.3 was the last to support Firefox 7; you can get it below. https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/adblock-plus/versions/?page=1#version-2.0.3

That being said, please note the following:
You have enough memory for the current Firefox release.

Old versions of Firefox contain security vulnerabilities.

It has an ARM CortexTM A8 FreescaleTM i.MX515 @ 800 MHz processor, is the desktop version of Firefox going to work?

Yes. They have released it as their "officlal" version for the Ecafe. They may have tweaked it somehow.

I'm running v. 16 "funnelcake" on my current system and I've seen it using 500+MB with a dozen or more windows open.... that doesn't give one much head room.
