reset firefox button not showing
I run Fedora 18 KDE and Firefox 20
Some websites do not load at all, the icon just keeps loading and eventually it says failed. I have performed the following to troubleshoot.
Tried the same website in Chrome - With success in loading Cleared all Firefox History to the beginning of time Gone to Help-Troubshooting Information-But NO "Reset Button or Link" can be found on this page. Scoured Google re the missing "Reset firefox button" - Nothing found Can you please help

Hi Thanks for you reply, I started with your suggestion of checking the profile and this is what I stuffed up.
1) Went to terminal "firefox -p" and deleted the profile and created a new - This went ok and Firefox restarted but the reset button in "Help-Troubleshooting" still did not appear. 2) Went to /home/******/.mozilla/firefox/ and opened the Profiles.ini file and noticed that it still said "Profile0" so this time I changed it to "Profile1" 3) trouble began.. it didn't like that and restarted as reset completly but it would not login to my Firefox login - Don't know why as I restarted it etc but it would not login. 4) Uninstalled Firefox and removed the users directory. 5) Also noticed that I had installed "mozilla-https-everywhere" so I removed that. 6) restarted and reinstalled Firefox with the extension from 5 and all of the websites load as per normal.
I think that the issue was from the "mozilla-https-everywhere" extension and I just want to report this in case others come upon the same issue.

Certain Firefox problems can be solved by performing a Clean reinstall. This means you remove Firefox program files and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:
Note: You might want to print these steps or view them in another browser.
- Download the latest Desktop version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org and save the setup file to your computer.
- After the download finishes, close all Firefox windows (click Exit from the Firefox or File menu).
- Delete the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
- Windows:
- C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
- Mac: Delete Firefox from the Applications folder.
- Linux: If you installed Firefox with the distro-based package manager, you should use the same way to uninstall it - see Install Firefox on Linux. If you downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
- Windows:
- Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
- Double-click the downloaded installation file and go through the steps of the installation wizard.
- Once the wizard is finished, choose to directly open Firefox after clicking the Finish button.

You only see the reset button on the Help > Troubleshooting Information page if you use the profile that is marked as Default=1 in the profiles.ini file.
If you do not have the "Reset" button then either use the Profile Manager to create a new profile or use the Profile Manager to start with the current default profile to get the reset button in Firefox.
