Flash Player for Firefox 24 not working, I believe install directory changes have something to do with it (linux).
I have just installed firefox 24 under debian (wheezy) and am having issues trying to get most things flash to run. Oddly enough Youtube seems to work, it tells me to install the plug-in initially then loads the video up anyway. Firefox throws a pop-up telling me I need to install a plug-in in order to view the content (on youtube, which videos play anyways). Other sites simply don't display the videos. Adobe's site doesn't display their little animation.
My firefox is installed in /opt/firefox
I also have two other directories which I believe are where the plugins may have been installed to.
/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins
-flash-mozilla.so
/usr/lib64/flash-plugin
-homecleanup -libflashplayer.so -license -readme -setup
I ran about:config and altered the following from false to true
plugins.load_appdir_plugins = true

I should note that in the add-ons page nothing appears

Make sure that you have 32 bit versions of the plugins if you use a 32 bit Firefox version.
