I have two computers, one with Win 7 32 bit, the other Win 7 64 bit. Both the same version Firefox, same add ins, etc.

My company has deployed a Java based https portal to an FTP server. They only support IE and indeed, this works fine in IE. It also works fin in Firefox on ONE computer, but on the other, the application which should be centered in the window is lowered sufficiently the control are hidden. There are no scroll bars in the window. CTL +- will shrink the window, but to display in the window it becomes extremely tiny, not like the display of the app in IE or Firefox in my other computer.

I checked options, cannot find anything that could be set substantially different on the computer that misfunctions This is the only site I have ever seen this on.

Any suggestions where to look?

Thanks.

~Bob

Reset the page zoom on pages that cause problems.

  • View > Zoom > Reset (Ctrl+0 (zero); Command+0 on Mac)

If you have made changes to Advanced font settings like increasing the minimum/default font size then try the default minimum setting "none" and the default font size 16 in case the current setting is causing problems.

  • Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > Minimum Font Size (none)

Make sure that you allow pages to choose their own fonts.

  • Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced: [X] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"

Thanks. Both were exactly as they should have been.

Let me attach an image or two and see if that helps.

Should be obvious which computer is which :)

Thanks.
