Can't fully import from corrupted Windows Mail folders or recovered emails into TB. Folders in TB don't match folders in Windows file location.

Attempting new TB set up, using Vista sp1, 64 bit. Was using Windows Mail, which was corrupted from a Trojan, causing some files were renamed and no readable emails. Trojan has been cleaned, and emails recovered with recovery program. Have installed TB, ImportExport Tools Extension, imported address book, and set up email accounts.

Not knowing a way to automatically merge the recovered emails back into their original file location, I intended to set up the files then manually search and move them. the Recovery program found 15k files from all over my PC, including previously trashed.

Now the problems begin trying to do this with TB:

Cannot fully import folders from Windows Explorer files. It will bring in some but not all, or not with sub-folders. I have tried the various options in the ImportExport Tool to do this. Is there an issue with moving large numbers of folders? Note, the emails shown in these Windows Mail Folders are not readable.

The folder icons of the recovered emails seemed to automatically switch to TB icons after installing TB. I was able to import these recovered emails once into TB, they could be read and deleted, but not moved to a folder. I attempted to move these recovered emails to another location in TB in an attempt to have more control options . . they are not viewable anywhere, and TB seems to be locked in processing. I can't see them to delete or move . . . don't know what happened to them, or what to do. I attempted to re-Import them with no success, nothing happens other than TB appears stuck in processing.

I have tried importing the folders and the emails in different ways, with the options in the ImportExport Tool, as well as in the Windows Explorer file system, and nothing works.

This is getting very frustrating as it took over a month to find a program that would eliminate the trojan, now I have been playing with TB for a couple of weeks, please provide some light on this.

just a guess here.

You have created an IMAP mail account and your trying to place your mail in it. So everything must be uploaded to the mail server.

This is not the case, I have 11 email accounts set up in TB and all are POP.

And as I attempt to delete partial folder lists, as TB will not import an entire set of folders, to try another approach, TB is so slow!

It will only allow me to delete an individual folder, nothing with a subfolder . . . this thing is very hard to work with and unresponsive!!

Perhaps I'm trying to use the wrong email program, TB!!
