How do I get my Firefox 28 interface instead of version 29 interface which takes up too much screen space and moved things around ? There was a usefull thread on this topic but some user closed it (probably under pressure from Mozilla since they seem to be defensive about the fact they now are copying the terrible user interfaces of IE and Chrome instead of continuing to please their large installed user base).

You can do it with Classic Theme Restorer. https://addons.mozilla.org/hu/firefox/addon/classicthemerestorer/
Moreover we are not trying to copy anyone, we are sorry for any inconvenience caused to you. If you feel strongly about the new changes I would suggest you to provide feedback on https://input.mozilla.org/feedback for the people who decided on the changes to actually see it.
Please keep in mind that Firefox is a work in progress and your feedback is very valuable for us to understand what can be done better!

Classic Theme Restorer doesn't work. How do I get version 28 back? I have already downloaded version 28. I just need to know: Do I simply install it? Or do I delete version 29 first? That's all I need to know.
I want to keep my bookmarks.
Classic Theme Restorer does work as you have to go into the Extension options for some things and to go into the Customize to move anything you want moved around.
It does not say just reverts things back to what you had before upon install.
