Okay I have three pc's two of them Linux, and I need sync. But after setting it up my pop up preferences no longer save, and this is after resetting or deleting the prefs js. Without either of these things its a real annoyance to use the browser. And I've also reset the sync what can I do now?

How to fix preferences that won't save should help you :)

Another thing to check, do you have Sync set to Sync browser preferences? and do you have different pop-up settings on each computer?

They are all the same, but I have unchecked and its fixes it. I going to try and sync the good preferences over and see what happens.

You can set via services.sync.prefs.sync.* prefs on the about:config page which prefs to include in the sync to other computers.
