Firefox ikon not visible on Apple laptop on switch on - just started happening yesterday . In contacting Firefox via email enquiry the ikon reappears on dock a few minutes later, mysteriously. Today on switch on again no firefox ikon on dock. Again sent in an email enquiry and again firefox ikon mysteriously reappeared. Then I needed to switch off the computer and on switch on again the firefox ikon has gone. I have been using firefox for almost three years and nothing like this has happened before. It seems like a denial of service or simply a communication problem at firefox.

I did receive one response to my earlier email yesterday, which I very much appreciated. However that was about restoring bookmarks, which unfortunately was not the issue in question

So far no response from firefox themselves. Disappointed

I don't know who you sent messages to, but it was not Mozilla. We are the support for Mozilla products. All Volunteers.

On Windows, we can 'pin' an icon on the task bar. See if you have that.

It is just a matter of installing Firefox correctly.

Open the Firefox disk image file and drag the Firefox program into the Applications folder on your hard drive. You shouldn't double-click the Firefox application to run it from the disk image, but instead drag it out of the DMG folder.
