My company disabled my work computer with emails I need for reference. They are already downloaded onto my Thunderbird client. How can I back them up or export them so that I can ensure I can access them again if for some reason I lose my computer or am signed out of Thunderbird? Thanks!

File|Save As. Or drag-and-drop messages (not folders!) to a folder in your file system. Or use the ImportExportTools add-ons if there are a lot of messages.

Or just copy your profile.

Or copy the messages to a private IMAP-connected email account that you can access at home.

In all of the above I am assuming that you are entitled to access to this data…
