I have already stated it above ..... before I made any changes it said not compatible with Kaspersky anti virus So if it's going to alter that, I have to forget it. Kaspersky is one of the best anti virus I don't want to have to deal with that. And if another customer is going to answer my question, that seems strange. I am nice but I think it would be better to have someone who is technically able to answer. So aside from the incompatible with Firefox 34.5; my question is what is the advantage and will I still do okay with what I have?

hi Evelyn, there are a few parts to your question:

  1. first it is important to understand that the message you're seeing refers to some unnecessary extensions that kaspersky put into your firefox profile - this does not affect the core protection systems of your antivirus software or make you any less safe (if a browser security update really did this to a AV software then this would be a total failure, what could malicious software do to it?). in fact those gimmicky additions by kaspersky where recently shown to make your system less secure in fact: http://www.heise.de/security/meldung/Kaspersky-Schutzsoftware-senkt-Sicherheit-von-SSL-Verbindungen-2482344.html (german newspaper article)
  2. it's always the task of the extension developer to keep an addon compatible with new versions. firefox is released on a fixed 6-week schedule and test versions are made available months in advance so this should be no surprise to any developer - in effect you're a a customer paying kaspersky for that, so it's best to contact their support channels about this issue. though as already stated those extensions aren't really necessary, other AV providers like norton are able to release updates for their addons always in time.
  3. firefox 34 shipped with fixes for multiple critical security vulnerabilities, so you should update as quickly as possible: https://www.mozilla.org/security/known-vulnerabilities/firefox.html

Short version is the message actually said the Kaspersky Extension versions you have is not compatible with Firefox 34.0.5, not the other way.
